‘Someone’s Listening’ blends a real life drama in which a daughter, intent of distracting her terminally ill father from his inevitable fate, tells an epic story that spans continents, triumphs over oppression and highlights the struggle to assimilate. In it Lidia escapes Bulgaria at the close of WWII, but her newfound freedom in Australia is met with challenges of identity and loneliness. When the Iron Curtain falls she returns to her homeland and in her search for family, a monstrous betrayal and an unexpected love are revealed.
