RR Nixon was born in 1979 at the US Embassy in West Germany. His parents were stationed there and when he was old enough, he was in Berlin to see the wall. He attended college at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, then enlisted in the US Army and served in the 82nd Airborne. He served in Afghanistan for a one year tour.
