Short Summary

Tanner Sheridan was a fast rider with the Pony Express in 1860, delivering mail from Sacremento, California to St. Joseph, Missouri. When an injury leaves him bleeding and broken, he befriends the preacher who saved his life. He soon discovered that Preacher had a dangerous past that haunts him.

Tanner's decision to head west finds him robbing stagecoaches with Preacher's old gang members. With a Pinkerton chasing him and outlaws hunting him, Tanner makes a final stand with his old friend Preacher for a shoot out at the church. Tanner must try and save Preacher and his new love Abigail.

About The Author

Renae Marie Schwemmer was born in Wisconsin and started writing poetry and short stories when she was 12 years old. She grew up in a small town in the country which gave her inspiration to write. She has a love of nature and color and the beautiful scenery inspires her to continue writing poetry. Her poetry has been featured in such books as “Stars in Our Hearts,”the International Who’s Who in Poetry, and A Time to Be Free, which led her to become an active member of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets. Renae is the Gold Medal winner of the Destiny Whispers 2016 “Extraordinary Moments” Creative Writing Competition/Romantic Fiction Novella Award, and also the 2012 International Who’s Who in Poetry Award. She always knew that writing was her passion in life and continues to write fiction, romance, westerns, poetry, and children’s books. Her goal is to inspire young readers to explore their own creativity and start writing!
