About The Author

Peggy McLain, a thirteenth generation daughter of the South, grew up amongst storytellers. Now with the Shadow Dogs, she has a story of her own to tell. Her interest in Genealogy has led to membership in many patriotic organizations including the DAR, DAC, USD 1812, UDC, CS Daughters of Indian Wars, NS Southern Dames of America, NS Colonial Dames XVII Century, and the NS Magna Carta Dames & Barons. Through genealogy she has discovered that she is a distant cousin to Samuel Clemens, aka Mark Twain, a distant niece to Geoffrey Chaucer, and a direct descendent of Brian Tuke. A nature lover at heart, she resides in rural Tennessee with her husband and four dogs, where she enjoys gardening, cooking, and canning her garden bounty. In her spare time she enjoys oil and watercolor painting.
