Development Pitch

Time passes by so quickly. These four friends had grown up together and always promised to stay in touch, but 30 years go by before they see each other again. At their 30th high school reunion, they decide in two years' time, when they turn 50 they will take a vacation to celebrate. During those two years, two of the ladies get divorced and one becomes a widow. Now they all single. Wanting to capture their youth, they agree to play Cindy's childhood game and use fake names while onboard the seven-day cruise. Never realizing this might be what saves their lives when Gloria, aka Gabby, gets targeted by an international jewel thief to help smuggle a precious diamond off the ship. Mary, the organizer of the trip see the signs something is not right and tries to warn her friends something is not right. They ignore her warnings, marking it down to her overactive writer's imagination. By the time they realize she is right, it's too late. They are now deeply involved and possibly in grave danger. During this time Mary confesses to her friends of briefly meeting an Italian man two years previously during her Italian vacation. Only knowing his first name, she couldn't find him, but it didn't stop her from dreaming about him or seeing him as the hero in her books. Because of the game they played, it leads her back to him in Venice, Italy. This would be a great movie. Not only does it capture the friendship between these ladies, it has intrigue, romance and dreams come true.

About The Author

To me, there is nothing better than sitting down with a good book and escape for a few hours. All my life I have read “happily ever after books” and so that is what I enjoy writing. In each of my books, there is a personal connection; with the characters, places, and emotions. I have a t-shirt that says, “Be Careful, You May End Up In My Next Novel,” and it is so true. I believe we all have a story inside of us and I hope my stories help take you away, at least for a little while. Or inspire you to write your own book. www.MarilynLHart.com
