Development Pitch

A pharmacist and his wife are brutally murdered when they interrupt the burglary of their pharmacy. Their daughter, Daniela, an investigative journalist, is hellbent on solving their murder, ignoring her uncle, Dallas Police Chief Robertson's demands to "leave things to the police." The police investigation, spearheaded by detectives Max Fabiani and P.J. McConnell. Max, a former concert pianist, and Naval Intelligence agent, ends up going undercover at Club Dionysus, a ladies' club. Daniela and Max clash over the investigation and sparks on another level ignite between them. Her stubborn behavior catches the attention of the mastermind behind her parents' death and is kidnapped. An unstoppable chain of events includes more killings, eventually uncovering the darkness operating in the city's underbelly which affects an entire terrified community. After the mastermind is killed in a gun battle during Daniela's rescue, Max is tricked into giving one final strip performance. Suddenly, an enraged man rushes the stage and shoots him, revealing Janet's previously unknown partner. Max and Daniela finally confess their love. The Epilogue includes a steamy love scene and a glimpse into their lives five years down the road.
