Short Summary

Jake Garber has settled into his life in witness protection, having left his identity as priest behind. A crash outside his mountain cabin brings Shannon Chase and her infant daughter into his life. Both Jake and Shannon have targets on their backs. Both need Protection.


Shannon and the baby are kidnapped by the crazed father of the child. Jake is instrumental in her rescue. He realizes how much she and the baby mean to him and asks to be released from the priesthood. Shannon reveals her true identity (Heather Carlson) and acknowledges her feelings for Jake.
