Short Summary

The protagonist, Caroline, has agreed to meet her ex-husband, Charles at an abandoned silver mining town. He never arrives. In Chapter One, Charles opens his eyes and stares into blackness. The last thing he remembers is climbing into the passenger side of his Maserati.


The end of the story involves catching the culprits at Mesa Verde and Caroline making a decision who to be with - Josh, the detective who solves the mystery or Charles, who wants her back.
