Lew Jennings flew over 700 Air Cavalry Cobra Gunship Helicopter missions in Vietnam receiving over 50 combat decorations including three Distinguished Flying Crosses. This memoir describes first-hand the harrowing experiences of helicopter pilots and crews in combat from the Delta to the DMZ.

After completing an incredible 726 helicopter gunship combat missions in major battles including Hamburger Hill, Lew arrives back in the USA at Seattle's International Airport where staff in the barber shop there help clean him up and get him ready to meet his loved ones in San Francisco.
