Short Summary

Kathryn, a land girl believes the airbase the Americans built will draw German attention, putting everyone in danger. Over time, she and Dale become friends, and allies, as she joins his search for his brother, even as the war separates them.


Kathryn, having heard Dale (barely) survived a deadly plane crash and is on his way to America via a medial ship, connives a her own voyage to America, and actually beats Dale to North Dakota, who is shocked to find her there.
