    Development Pitch

A true conflict of ideologies spawns a new civil war in the United States and the nation's salvation lies in the hands of technology. President Ronald Kahn faces a stiff reelection and moves to usurp the democratic process by executing cyber and bioterrorism attacks on his own country in order to stay in power. Blaming Iran for the attacks, Kahn declares a State of Emergency and fabricates a second more lethal bio attack by Iran which he himself plans to execute with the help of an Artificial Intelligent Agent called, Athena. Henry Little Hawk and Aleja Trujillo, resistance leaders fighting for the people, learn the terrifying details about Kahn’s plans—and millions of American lives are at stake. They organize an uprising to arrest Kahn, but their efforts turn to war with Kahn’s followers. As the Resistance loses the battle to a much larger and better armed counter-force, their only hope of defeating Kahn is to free the original creators of Athena from Kahn’s captivity and give them full reign to reprogram their brainchild to end Kahn’s deadly politics. But is the country ready to relinquish control to a machine?

    Brief

Senator/Ex SEAL Aleja is up against the President of the US and all of his powers, which he is abusing by corrupting an AI computer program called Sentinel. It will have omniscient power over the US population, and, while built for altruistic purposes, the President wants to control it. He intends on nothing less than a genocide of people he deems inferior. With the help of the program's architect and other loyal warriors, Aleja must uncover the truth and fight against the President's war machine.

    What We Liked

    - There are clearly delineated sides that are fighting, and it becomes apparent that the ultimate evil in poised to take control. The protagonists and antagonists are all very capable and smart, and the action is non-stop. Life and death struggles are almost on every page, and there is an interesting technological component that an audience would find fascinating and appealing when revealed.
    - The battle scenes would shine on a big screen. Sweeping altercations and lots of action. It's well-suited for a three act movie structure yet has smaller moments between characters to give the audience a chance to breathe and relate to their pathos.
    - While better suited for film, this could be an action packed TV show that would have many need to know moments and cliff hangers for every commercial break and episode break. While there are certainly adult themes, it could be available for a wide audience despite the non-stop violence. It would be fun to watch the bad guys get taken out, and the protagonists are interesting enough characters to root for.
    - Key points: Action; New technology; Primal conflicts; Shadowy government figures; Likeable protagonists.

    Synopsis

Senator and ex-Navy SEAL Alejo "La Serpiente" Trujillo, 35, attends a rally of the Resistance, the side of the country that is against an AI computer program taking over the US which includes putting chips inside of all citizens. Advocating the program are the Nationalists, led by President Kahn.

With the assistance of the program's architects, McCanter and Kennard, she uncovers that the President is in collusion with Saudi Arabia, Israel, Turkey and Russia, to wipe out ""inferior"" races using a hidden cyanide option in all of the chips and anthrax hidden in vaccines.

The war begins, and many lives are lost in battles across the country. The Resistance fighters have their family's threatened. Kennard and McCanter are reunited and secretly use Sentinel to uncover the genocide threat and Aleja travels to Germany to find out about the anthrax-tainted vaccines and is almost killed.

Before Sentinel, Kennard and McCanter created its predecessor they called Athena. They secretly access it and tell it to take over Sentinel. It works, and it uncovers the genocide plot and tells the whole world.

The President and his cohorts are arrested and sentenced to death by Congress, while the shipment of anthrax inhalers is curtailed and people start to heal.
