    What We Liked

    - Elvis Presley is a supporting character;
    - Time travel and alternate reality fun;
    - Though Ace is a space-faring trucker, his true journey occurs on Earth. This makes his story
    truly human, even set amidst a crazy assortment of non-human and even alien characters
    (and worlds);
    - Ace grounds the wildest elements of the story by learning alongside the audience;
    - Populated with Elvis's greatest hits and all Ivan's favorite punk songs, plus the stylings of
    futuristic rock band Mustache Supernova, this is the kind of movie that would have a killer
    soundtrack to support its high octane fun;
    - This book is so clearly set up to be a series, as the open ending easily lends itself to multiple
    seasons or films.

    Synopsis

    When ACE TUCKER was merely a baby, he was kidnapped from Earth. Raised at an orphanage as the only human, Ace quickly grew to be resentful of Earth. His copilot, IVAN CHIMPANOV, is obsessed with Earth. A cyborg chimpanzee, Ivan is hyper intelligent, while Ace is a drunk slacker. The two work for Mustache Supernova, famous throughout the galaxy as the best rock band, carting equipment in Ace's ship. Named BETTY, the ship is bigger on the inside, and it has the appearance of a semi truck with cartoon rockets strapped to its sides.

    Ace and Ivan run into ELVIS PRESLEY, thought to be dead throughout the galaxy. Followed by an enemy called THE SHINY MAN, he tells them to take him to "Graceland" and "El Dorado." They travel to Earth and head to Memphis, followed by FBI Agent CALHOUN. "El Dorado" is actually a reference to the make of an extremely rare, secret Cadillac that Elvis keeps in his bedroom at the mansion.

    Elvis shows Ace the "timedrive" in the Cadillac's trunk, a time travel device from the future. In the future, rival alien species try to outdo each other with time travel technology. The tech war gets so out of hand that one species, the Greys, decides to simply undo the entirety of the Milky Way so that they "win." The Shiny Man is a Grey from the future, and Elvis has to protect the timedrive from him in order to save everyone. In 1977, aliens helped him fake his own death, and injected him with nanobots to keep him alive and un-aging.

    Agent Calhoun is actually the Shiny Man in disguise, and steals the timedrive. After checking his Chronomicon, a device which allows one to see into the future and the past, he realizes that killing Elvis hasn't changed the future. Ace and his friends are brought along as hostages while the Shiny Man transports Betty to 1935, where he plans to kill Elvis's mother before the King is born. Ace, however, manages to defeat the Shiny Man, leaving him for dead.

    Ace destroys the timedrive to prevent further alternate realities and close the loops they've created in time traveling. Ace and his crew then receive a transmission from future Elvis in 2406. He invites them all to join the Temporal Continuity Bureau.
