Fritz accepts a dare from his friend to sail on a canoe from the Northeast to California through the Panama Canal. He makes it through rough terrain and has to go back to his hometown Allentown multiples times in order to regroup. After landing in communist Cuba through the grace of God, Fritz makes it back home and becomes somewhat of a local legend. Rather than wandering through life, the trip helps him find purpose through God.

Accuracy of Book Profile
The book profile does mirror the narrative in some regard but certain adjustments would help it better reflect the section purposes and for storyline. For example, the logline talking about what is marketable about the story would be better suited as the development pitch. The logline should be a summary about the boat ride and dare leading to the discovery of God aka a general overview of the story. The character details could also describe other side characters in the book.
Draw of Story
The premise that the dare is sponsored for Fritz to sail halfway around the northern hemisphere is both adventure calling but low stakes. There is a lot of investment in Frtitz's success.
Possible Drawbacks
It is unclear how the plot is progressing when the breaks are being taken either in retaining tension or in character development. This slows down the pacing so by making the breaks show the continued development of the inner conflict, the story will feel more like it is moving forward even when on a physical break from the ocean journey.
Use of Special Effects
THE STORY RELIES A LITTLE BIT ON SPECIAL EFFECTS
Primary Hook of Story
The hook is that Fritz is sponsored with a boat, beer and ten cents to make a phone call on a dare to sail from the East coast to the West coast through the Panama Canal. It is enticing because it is not a lot to survive on and yet the ten cents is admitting defeat which is also not going to happen easily.
Fanbase Potential
This may have a medium and small fanbase of people who appreciate Christian films road movies. It is a unique cross genre appeal but the Christian audience itself comes with the caveat of being limited to begin with, it would depend behind the message of the end product as well.
Awards Potential
This is unlikely to have awards potential because of the lack of unique socials issues and unclear inner conflicts of pilot.
Envisioned Budget
LOW BUDGET

What’s New About the Story
The originality stems from teh unique sea journey Fritz embarks on and how he uses his wits and charms alone to sustain himself with just a boat and a dime and some beer to sail to uncharted territories such as communist Cuba.
Lead Characters
Fritz is personable, adaptable, good-natured and brave. His sponsor of the trip Andy is gregarious and fun. Jennie is patient and loyal.
Uniqueness of Story
The journey is interesting as an external conflict, but the internal conflict leading Fritz to God is inconsistent throughout the first two acts. It is not apparent what the main inner conflict is meant to be in conjunction with the trip until the third act.

Analyst Recommendation
WORK IN PROGRESS
Justification
While the story has many positive points, it has room for improvement (see possible paths below). If you can't change the story at this point, my suggestion is using your notes as a guide to highlight the best aspects of it when taking the next steps, either putting a pitch page together, a treatment, or a presentation.
Tips for Improvement
Clarifying the inner conlict earlier and developing the transformation while the external conflict is taking a break for repairs or weather would help sustain tension and keep the pacing focused. Developing the themes of God throughout the physical journey would help create further cohesion throughout the three acts and create greater emotional investment in the leap into faith at the end.
