Development Pitch

Do The Dead Dream?, which won the 2017 national Best Books Award for Fiction: Short Stories, fits perfectly into a NetFlix or CW/USA-like network series! Since it took that national award, the obvious appeal is there: “Black Mirror meets Night Gallery meets The Twilight Zone meets The Ray Bradbury Theater.” There is always a thirst for anything weird and peculiar, as evidenced by almost any Netflix and CW genre-programming, and in these stories, as reviewers have mentioned, there is something for every fan of the genre! These stories hit monsters, the supernatural, the psychological, the metaphysical. And there are even scary clowns. DTDD? hits upon a wide array of ethos and pathos, light and shadow, science fiction and superstition, and what you think you know...and what you can only imagine. Edgy. Unnerving. Not quite right. These are but a few of the surreal, the weird, and the peculiar you will encounter in a realm few willingly tread...with or without the lights on.
