THE CHA-CHA BABES OF PELICAN WAY deals with romance among baby boomers (some millennials), women friendships, discovering new lives, the exuberance of the cha-cha with dance rules that apply to everyday life and a mystery rooted in murder and greed. The main character struggles to get past early dysfunction to start a new life and to make amends with an adult daughter. Soon an awareness that murders might be occurring in her retirement village forces Celia, the protagonist, to shed her feeling that she lacks the ability to problem solve. She soon puts her smarts to work to save herself and daughter from being killed and finding the villain. The question arises early on -- would you secretly move a dead body to save your friend.
