Development Pitch
1st and 10 to Life is a faith based drama that involves a modest and naïve young man who grows up and learns life's valuable lessons while in prison. Even though one might suspect his prison sentence might be unjustified, the prison environment allowed Chuck to renew his faith in God as well as humanity. He becomes harder, sharper, and understands that finding your place in the world can take a lot of time and heartache. He has one good friend, Jose, who shows him the ropes in prison. Jose's tragic encounter with antagonist Xavier really tests Chuck's faith again. Chuck releases his inner anger through NFL action. He ultimately gets his wish with a final encounter with Xavier in the NFL Championship. He also realizes that he must forgive Xavier to keep that hate from taking over his life. A surprise happy ending is in store for Chuck and the audience as well!!
