Matthew O. Duncan is part of the resurgence of Old School Sci-fi. His books are a mix of Military Sci-fi, Fantasy, Romance, and Mystery weaved together with non-stop action. Matt started his writing career as a playwright were, he won a number of awards and had his plays produced on local stages. Yet, he put his pen down in the late ’90s as his writing wasn’t binging a sustainable income and he needed to focus on supporting his family. In 2011, with the support and encouragement from his wife Carleesa, Matt decided to work on a story that he had been thinking about for years. Putting pen to paper again he spent the next three years working on his first Sci-fi/Fantasy novel, The Warrior’s Stone. It received such a positive response and glowing reviews that he continued the series with The Last Flight of the Phoenix in 2016 and The Prophet’s Stone in 2018. With the success of his series, Matt then branched out and wrote a spin-off series featuring a new character, Lt. Reilly, an engineer forced to retire early due to an injury and then gets drawn into an underworld of crime, conspiracy, assassins, murder, and complicated love affairs. Told in the first person and written in the action and adventure style of old westerns, the books were perfect for audiobook production and became hits on Audible and iTunes. Matt lives in Phoenix Arizona with his wife and two sons. Currently, he is working on book #4 of the New Terra Sagas and is also continuing the Lt. Reilly series.
