Hamlin Tallent grew up in the Missouri Ozarks and joined the navy following college graduation. He served as a naval aviator for 32 years, retiring as a rear admiral. Hamlin worked in the defense industry for fourteen years before retiring and writing. He has written two novels, with a third out to publishers.
