Accuracy of Book Profile

Mostly, yes, the profile is accurate. However, the logline makes it appear that the story's protagonists are the three sisters, when in fact, the main character is Michael. In addition, it was necessary to add the description of the supporting characters.

Draw of Story

The idea of it being a simple, straight-to-the-point love story, based on a peaceful, simple way of life.

Possible Drawbacks

The lack of a more profound development for some characters and situations makes the story less compelling and exciting than it could be.

Use of Special Effects

THE STORY DOES NOT RELY ON SPECIAL EFFECTS

Primary Hook of Story

The hook is simple and straightforward: the story of a man confused by a love triangle, divided between an existence filled with artificial luxuries and another kind of life, simple but full of love.

Fanbase Potential

The story sounds a little too generic and straightforward to attract a big fanbase, but it can please fans of romantic and overly sweet stories.

Awards Potential

It does not seem to be material for Awards, mainly because it develops most of its themes very shallowly.

Envisioned Budget

LOW BUDGET

BRIDGET JONES - A WOMAN WITH LOW SELF-ESTEEM IS TORN BETWEEN THE LOVING ATTENTION GIVEN BY A CARING MAN AND AN INCORRIGIBLE PHILANDERER.

What’s New About the Story

There is nothing very original or unusual about this predictable story. Although there is no problem with being simple, a little more in-depth look could generate additional interest for the narrative..

Lead Characters

The main character is a person tired of false and empty luxuries, who seeks a little naturalness and affection, but still finds it difficult to leave old habits behind.

Uniqueness of Story

It is not a rare gem. The narrative lacks authenticity, originality, and depth to generate some interest for the audience.

Analyst Recommendation

WORK IN PROGRESS

Justification

While the story has many positive points, it has room for improvement (see possible paths below). If you can't change the story at this point, my suggestion is using your notes as a guide to highlight the best aspects of it when taking the next steps, either putting a pitch page together, a treatment, or a presentation.

Tips for Improvement

First of all, it is essential to give a little more depth to the personality of these characters, to make them occasionally escape from the clichés and surprise the audience. Many overly technical or descriptive passages throughout the narrative, quite long and unnecessary for the story, could be discarded. The situations involving the love triangle are also unoriginal and repetitive. It seems that Lisa, for example, exists only to satisfy the protagonist's dreams and ideals. For us to believe in this story, she must appear to have an existence of her own and separate from him. In addition, the sexist elements and views shown by the characters could be softened or removed, as they can generate criticism from the audience and also from critics. All of these changes require extensive revisions and edits, but they can lead to a less predictable adaptation, more capable of surprising and pleasing the public somehow.
