Shortly after the events of 9/11, Quinn's agent, Glenn Harte, finds a painting that depicts all the event of 9/11. It is signed by Anthony Quinn - but it's not possible because Quinn had died 3 months before that fateful day. A second painting is discovered that Quinn painted of his 13th son, painted in 1940 - 55 years before the boy was even born. Glenn Harte investigates the possibility that Quinn had precognitive abilities.

What We Liked

This is a fascinating study that approaches the possibility of ESP from a scientific standpoint and lays out all the evidence to allow readers to draw their own conclusions.

Film: As a film, this could be either a documentary about the discovery of these paintings and a deep dive into the science behind it or a fictionalized version of events that focuses more on the mystery, the race to get the paintings, and the consuming search for scientific answers that followed.

TV: As a television show, this would work best as a miniseries detailing the discovery of these paintings and their resemblance to real life that then focused on the possible scientific explanations for Quinn's abilities.

Synopsis

Academy Award-winning actor Anthony Quinn's widow, Katherine, chooses art dealer Glenn Harte to be the agent for her husband's artwork. Harte, an art aficionado, is thrilled and excited to handle the works of an artist he already admires. While sorting Quinn's works, Harte comes across a painting titled ""Facets of Liberty"" which seems to depict the events of September 11, 2001--in the painting, the face of someone who looks like Osama bin Laden looks out from under the crying portrait of the Statue of Liberty, while firefighter collapse in the forefront and two towers burn with smoke in the background. Harte is amazed at this painting, especially because he knows that Quinn died before September 11, 2001, and painted the work in question in 1976 for America's bicentennial.

Harte brings his discovery to Quinn's widow, who doesn't see the resemblance at first, but soon recognizes the possibility that Quinn knew what he was painting. While going over Quinn's works, Harte discovers another painting, an unmistakable portrait of Quinn's son, Ryan. Katherine reveals that Quinn had painted the painting of Ryan 70 years ago, but the boy is only 13 years old, and yet, the resemblance between the boy in the portrait and Ryan is undeniable.

Harte becomes convinced to look further into the possibility that Anthony Quinn had precognitive powers. He reaches out to a scientist, Dr. Elizabeth Rauscher, and interviews her. Harte is not a superstitious man, but he is able to see the facts laid out before him and recognizes that maybe ESP isn't just something out of movies, but exactly what it claims to be--extra sensory perception. He studies the brain and discovers that artists like Quinn fit the profile of those with extra sensory abilities--they perceive more within the world around us. He also dives into Quinn's history, specifically, how Quinn worked on three films that took place in the Middle East, and crossed paths with Arafat, Qadaffi, and even King Hussein.

Harte searches for years to find the orginal painting of ""Facets of Liberty,"" and after a few years of persistent work, is able to purchase it. Up close, the resemblance to the events of 9/11 is even more undeniable.
