Accuracy of Book Profile
Yes, the book profile is accurate.
Draw of Story
Gods interfering on Earth is an interesting premise.
Possible Drawbacks
The shifting points of view are hard to follow at times. It's stylistic choice that may work for some, but it's not not all readers will find this a personal preference.
Use of Special Effects
THE STORY RELIES HEAVILY ON SPECIAL EFFECTS
Primary Hook of Story
The coming of age storyline is interesting.
Fanbase Potential
The fact that the story is aimed at young adults would help drive audience numbers. It could have a similar following to other film series adapted from books similar to the Percy Jackson stories.
Awards Potential
This is probably wouldn't be an Awards contender in above the line categories, but it could potentially have a chance in technical categories.
Envisioned Budget
LARGE BUDGET

What’s New About the Story

Lead Characters
The lead character is empathetic as she goes through self discovery and finding her place in the world.
Uniqueness of Story
This could definitely be improved by creating more mythology around the different gods.

Analyst Recommendation
CONSIDER
Justification
There is a market for this kind of story and there is franchise potential. However, budget concerns may hinder interest in this project.
Brief
As resurrected, vengeful gods vie to take over the universe, four brave teens unite against the gods’ immense power to save themselves and the world itself.
What We Liked
There is a strong female lead who overcomes odds to find her place in the world. There is a lot of action, broad appeal and franchise potential.
Film: A feature adaptation of the story is the most logical. The power of the gods, the parallel universes and technology outlined in the book are cinematic in nature.
TV: Adapting the book into a limited television series would be an easy transition. The structure featuring different points of view lends itself to an episodic format.
Key points:
1. A strong female lead
2. Sequel/franchise potential
3. Broad appeal
4. Apocalyptic
5. Special Effects
Synopsis
In the not so distant future, Earth is facing annihilation. Powerful gods are resurrected and have their sights set on destroying humanity. A world of parallel universes, including the Afterworld, are being targeted as well. Vera, a powerful and vengeful goddess, is leading the charge.
As the battle ensues, 17 year old, Angela slowly discovers that everything she thought she knew is not what it seems. She learns that she has a secret identity in a secret organization that renders her with god-like powers. These new revelations will help her work with others like her to stop the gods who would destroy humanity. She is joined in the fight by fellow teenagers, Cade, Colvin and Alice, in defending themselves, humanity and the entire universe.
The teens must overcome enormous odds if they are to succeed. Angela rises to the occasion and uses her unfound powers and purpose in life to rid the universe of Vera once and for all. Ultimately, the teens are able to work together to save mankind and stop the gods from taking over the universe just in the knick of time.
