David Lake was a Scientist and the Marketing Director of Virgin Records. He also produced a number of Arts Features for TV and Cinema through his own Independent Production Company. His novel was originally published in 1994 and Irvin Kershner wanted to make the movie. Re - published in 2014 and hit Amaxon's Top 30 Thrillers, winning a literary award. [ The marketing has been deliberately stopped to allow for changes due to the screenplay development ] A recent Chairman of Bafta has read the screenplay and his notes included - 'Hugely enjoyable. Fast and Furious and full of brilliant One-Liners.'
