Accuracy of Book Profile
The Book Profile accurately reflects the book, but it could maybe emphasize the romantic elements of the book a bit more, since that is a major storyline.
Draw of Story
The world is intriguing. The story is based on the Scandinavian myth of Ragnarok and includes Vikings but also has a werewolf twist, which makes it more unique. The romance storyline is enticing, and the violence and battle scenes keep the reader interested the whole time. The story starts off with action and suspense, and that suspense is upheld throughout the entirety of the book. The strong writing, especially in the opening chapters, also draws the reader in.
Possible Drawbacks
I felt like all of the female characters were objectified and overly sexualized in a way that was a bit unappealing to me as a female reader. As soon as Ingunn and Kindra are introduced, sexual language is used to describe them, and they are portrayed as objects of male desire. While they are tough fighters and active character in their own right, I think that there should be other characters who are female and not treated as sexual objects and that these two main female characters could be objectified much less.
Use of Special Effects
THE STORY RELIES HEAVILY ON SPECIAL EFFECTS
Primary Hook of Story
The world that this is set in – a world based off of the Scandinavian myth of Ragnarok – is a great hook, as is the werewolf twist. The battle scenes and supernatural transformations would be exciting to watch on screen, and the romance storyline between Kindra and Vidarr would be appealing to viewers and humanizes these violent characters in a way that makes it easy to root for them. The suspense is high at all times, and there are many unpredictable twists, like Ingunn getting suddenly turned into a werewolf by Bron, who readers believed to be dead.
Fanbase Potential
Yes, this could have a large fanbase. This would be a film/show similar to a Game of Thrones with graphic violence and mature adult content as well as fantasy elements that stem from a unique world different from reality. People would be invested in the love story between Kindra and Vidarr, and they would continue to watch because of all the suspenseful scenes and exciting fights and conflicts between characters.
Awards Potential
Yes, since this concept shares many similarities with Game of Thrones, I think that it could have awards potentially, since that show won numerous awards.

What’s New About the Story
The Scandinavian mythology of Ragnarok is one viewers may be familiar with, since Marvel's Thor franchise is a well-known one. However, the werewolf twist and mature romantic storyline make this book original. To make the story more unique, there can be female warriors who are not portrayed solely as objects of male desire and who do not make their decisions because of the men they are in love with (like Kindra and Ingunn do).
Lead Characters
Vidarr is a serious, tough Viking who wants to become a jarl and become the powerful military leader he is destined to be as the son of Odin. The magic that surrounds him makes him stand out, and as the prophecy that Heidr shares says, he is the only one who can defeat the wolves and save the people. He is a hero; however, he mistreats Ingunn and does not have love in his heart for her. On the other hand, he falls quickly and hard for Kindra. His love for her makes him more likable and human, but it is hard to see Ingunn's hurt and not be upset with Vidarr for how easily he got rid of her.
Uniqueness of Story
The writing in this is strong, and the high level of suspense, action, and conflict keeps readers interested and on the edge of their seats. However, the depiction of female characters is this story's weakest component. Ingunn is a strong fighter, but all of her decisions are motivated either by her love for Vidarr or her determination to get revenge on him for how he mistreated her. She is used by all the men around her for sex and seems to occasionally lack emotional complexity. Kindra also falls for Vidarr too hard too quickly; we should get to see more of her personality before we see her as Vidarr's object of affection.

Analyst Recommendation
CONSIDER
Justification
The story is fascinating and entertaining, and there is plenty of drama, conflict, and romance. The characterization and dialogue are pretty strong, and the plot moves at a reasonable pace. The writing is strong, and it is easy to follow how characters are feeling at all times. However, the depiction of female characters is a bit disappointing, since the only two significant female characters are heavily objectified and only focus on Vidarr. If there were other significant female characters (or even if these two had more personality and motivation outside of their primary shared love interest) then this could be a story worth recommending.
Brief
This action-packed story based on the Scandianvian myth of Ragnarok follows a Viking warlord, Vidarr the Vengeful. When he leaves his lover for an attractive new woman who survived a raid on her city, his life becomes immensely more complicated. Firstly, his ex-lover changes into a werewolf and seeks revenge on him; secondly, his new lover is possessed by the Fenrir Wolf. He must defeat the wolves to protect his people and to save the woman he loves.
What We Liked
This action-packed, sexy story brings audiences everything they could hope for in an original fantasy tale. Attractive characters fight to the death to defends their loved ones and their way of life. Seers reveal the future in cryptic prophecies that force heroes to step up and achieve the great things they are destined to. The stakes are high, battle scenes and conflict are never in short-supply, and the plot is suspenseful and filled with exciting twists and turns. Fans of Game of Thrones will be drawn into this world with characters who fight for power and love in a world different from our own with supernatural creatures.
Film: This story has no shortage of action, romance, and conflict, three elements that make for exciting and enticing films. The characters are quickly introduced, as is their world, and then we see them in action. This fast-paced writing could translate very well to film, and there is even franchise potential; the Viking army and Vidarr could face other threats to their way of life in the future, or a sequel could follow the life of Vidarr and Kindra's unborn child that she is revealed to be carrying in the epilogue. The battle scenes and plot twists would all make for a gripping movie, and the complex world that this story is set in could be concisely introduced in Act I.
TV: This exciting story follows the Viking military leader Vidaar as he struggles to protect his people from the threat of werewolves while also saving the life of the woman he loves. The emotional and physical stakes are high, and there is a ton of suspense that would keep audiences hooked from episode to episode. There are unpredictable twists and turns in the plot, and characters grow, develop, and transform throughout the book. The world that this story is set in is unique and enticing, and
mature audiences would be drawn in by the intimate relationship between Kindra and Vidarr. This story could easily develop a committed, large fanbase like Game of Thrones, since the shows have many similarities.
Key points: 1. good guys win
2. mature audience romance
3. werewolves/fantastical elements
4. exciting battle scenes
5. heroic protagonist
Synopsis
A Viking army sails to an island to raid the town of Danvik and bring the riches back to their king, KING RANULFR. VIDARR leads the attack with his sidekick, TYR, and they find the town has been destroyed by werewolves. Vidarr and his men find the sole survivor: a frightened woman named KINDRA. Vidarr is drawn to her and takes her under his protection. The Vikings are attacked by the wolves as they try to find the treasure, and INGUNN, Vidarr’s lover, slays a wolf just before it is about to kill Vidarr, saving his life. They make it back to the ship with the treasure, losing only one man in the process – BRON, who is related to the king.
They arrive home at Skrattafell. Kindra meets a young girl named AGNIS, and they bond. Vidarr, who is rumored to be the son of Odin because of the supernatural occurrences that take place around him, opens a box from the treasure and holds the 29 silver coins inside of it. He has a vision but doesn’t know what it means; however, he knows it is important and keeps the coins hidden.
Ingunn goes to HEIDR, a woman who can see the future. Heidr tells Ingunn that Vidarr is the only one who can save them from the wolves and that the wolves are coming for Skrattafell soon. Meanwhile, Vidarr finds Kindra, and she accepts his advances. However, while he is exploring her body, she is overtaken by a dark voice in her head telling her to kill him. They are interrupted by Tyr, who tells Vidaar that King Ranulfr is there to see the treasure and find out what happened to Bron. Vidarr wants the king to name him jarl,
which hasn’t happened yet. When they meet with the king, he names Vidarr jarl, much to his delight. However, the king tries to take Kindra with him as part of the treasure. Vidarr is able to get her back.
Ingunn seduces Vidarr, and Kindra catches them having sex. Vidarr decides he is done with Ingunn and breaks things off with her. She is summoned for a secret meeting with the king who convinces her to swear loyalty to him; they will work to defeat Vidarr. They leave together on his ship, upsetting Vidarr and Tyr. Vidarr shows Tyr the silver coins that he kept from the king, and when Tyr touches them, he realizes they are cursed. There are supposed to be 30, but since they only found 29, they wonder who has the 30th coin. Later, Kindra wanders into the woods and struggles to push away the voices in her head telling her to kill Vidarr, who she is in love with. He finds her, and they have sex, both in love.
Ingunn arrives at Gautland, King Ranulfr’s home. At night, the king shows her that Bron is still alive – he changed into a werewolf, and they want to change her, too, so that they can have a powerful army of wolves and take over the world. Bron bites her, turning her into a wolf. Back at Skrattafell, UNNAQ, a large man, tries to rape Agnis, and Kindra attacks him, protecting the girl. Unnaq flees, terrified, certain that Kindra is a wolf warrior. That night, Kindra hunts down Unnaq and kills him, but before she does, he realizes she is Fenrir – leader of the wolves. The next day, she is human again.
Vidarr goes to meet a captive that his men brought back – a Christian friar who is mute and apparently a skilled fighter. Vidarr fights him and sees that he has the 30th silver coin, and he insists the friar is locked up instead of killed so he can try to ally himself with him later. Tyr approaches Vidarr and tells him that Unnaq was found dead, killed by a wolf-like creature, and that a piece of Kindra’s cloak with her broach on it was found nearby. Meanwhile, at Gauntland, Ranulfr has fully lost control of his kingdom. Bron and Ingunn have taken over and have killed and changed many people, and they eventually kill the king. Vidarr goes to Heidr the Seer, and he realizes Kindra is in danger and has something to do with the wolf warriors. He also learns that the wolves are coming to attack Skrattafell. Later, Ingunn and Bron kill Heidr, since she has been giving out information to Vidarr on how to stop them from freeing the Fenris Wolf.
Vidarr and Kindra realize that the wolves are after her – they need her blood to spill to free the Fenris Wolf. She agrees to take the women and children to safety if their city falls through a secret passage Vidarr tells her about. The battle begins, and while Skrattafell is able to hold off the wolves for some time, they eventually make it through the city walls. The Christian and Vidarr work together and kill Bron, but the battle doesn’t end, since Ingunn is the new alpha. Kindra takes Agnis and other women to the escape route, but when Tyr follows them, the beast inside of her comes out, and the two of them fight. He wounds her badly, but she bites
him, infecting him. Ingunn stops the women and children from leaving, seeking Kindra. Kindra meets her in partial wolf form and tells her that she is the Fenrir Wolf who has been trapped inside Kindra’s human body, trying to break free. Vidarr and the Christian find Tyr, who tells them what happened and reveals Kindra’s true predicament to them. They chop off his arm to stop the wolf infection from spreading, saving him from changing. The Christian, named LONGINUS, and Vidaar put aside their religious differences and agree to work together with their silver coins to create a weapon to defeat the Fenrir Wolf when he is freed from Kindra. Longinus and Vidarr bring the coins to IVALDR the blacksmith, and working together, they forge a powerful sword made out of the coins that
fits the one described in Heidr’s prophecy. They find Ingunn and Kindra fighting until the Blood Moon appears in the sky, and the Fenrir Wolf frees itself from Kindra. Longinus kills Ingunn, and Vidarr kills Fenrir. Kindra is okay, and the city is saved from the werewolves.
