Development Pitch

It's everyone's dream: you find out that you have wealthy long-lost relatives and discover that they have left you a fortune! This happens to Alex Tinsdill, a humble good-guy living in Canada. His DNA test leads him to his previously unknown wealthy family in the US. He finds himself the sole heir to $250 million and a Gilded Age Mansion called Cove Point Manor. Alex travels to Long Island's Gold Coast to spend some time at his new estate, and he takes with him his prized 1956 Cadillac named Maybelline. When he arrives, he meets the beautiful caretaker of the estate, Maggie Crosby; Maggie's family has looked after the estate for almost 100 years. Two greedy family "frenemies", mother & daughter duo Brenda and Connie Sonwil, find out about Alex's good fortune and quickly track him down. Brenda is a bitter, nasty & manipulative woman; her daughter Connie is clumsy, dimwitted and unappealing. Together they plot to take some of Alex's fortune for themselves to better their miserable lives. Unfortunately for the two women, the mansion is protected by the spirit of Alex's great-great-grandmother who sets about driving the two women out of her beloved home. Hilarity ensues as the bumbling duo fight with each other, and the spirit of Cove Point Manor. Bloodlines: Cove Point Manor is a mix of drama, comedy, romance and supernatural suspense. Alex and Maggie's strong, but reserved characters are the perfect balance to the nasty, scheming women.
