Development Pitch

Our most popular short film titled Herobrine is Watching was just recently published as a hard cover book. Although we have not spent any advertising dollars to market and promote the book it has already garnered some fantastic reviews on Goodreads: “The story is educational & with a clear message of bravery, while warning against taking unreasonable risks in life, especially when young.” “Stu Cork is a good story-teller. In Herobrine is Watching, he tickles the young readers' mind. The plot allows them to imagine how the machines work to produce those creepy creatures. The book is also well illustrated. Its big and colorful pictures will surely keep the young reader’s eyes glued on the pages until the end.” “Fast-paced with great illustrations and graphic art, plus lovely titles and varied texts.” “A great children's book about teamwork! What I loved the most are the illustrations that reminded me of the old Atari games. The idea itself was new and innovative. I also like the fact that the boys had to think about how to use the things surrounding them to defeat the army of zombies. Overall, it was a great read, and I'd definitely recommend it.” So moving forward we are now looking to expand the Adam and Marky universe into a full blown animated series either live action blended with animation or a fully animated movie. We visualize a seamless transformation from the current short films to a high level action adventure series.

Draw of Story

The most enticing thing about the story is the retro-video game aesthetics on illustrations.

Possible Drawbacks

Nothing made me want to put the book down, it is fun and easy to read.

Use of Special Effects

Primary Hook of Story

If adapted, this story would be interesting as it shows a broader message about the balance between bravery and caution. Also, kids would love the surprise of finding out, along with Adam & Martin, a high-tech and modern zombie factory.

Fanbase Potential

If adapted and developed into more detail it could have a large fanbase as the two characters bring along the interesting format of two friends with opposite personalities that end up balancing each other.

What’s New About the Story

The most original thing about the story is the cool retro game vibe of illustrations and Herobrine's high tech zombie factory the duo of friends discover.

Lead Characters

The difference between the two characters is stated in the beginning of the story and it is clear how Martin is seen as a troublemaker; however, it is clear that without his audacity there would be no adventure. But it is also clear that without Adam's caution they wouldn't have escaped - so they make up for the perfect duo of friends and bring an interesting point of view in order teach kids about balance and risk measuring.

Uniqueness of Story

It is a creative and fun small story with a cool message and characters are highly appealing for kids; it sure can be developed into more adventures.
