    Development Pitch

This short novel was meant to be a movie or a tv series from the beginning because of its sensoriality. There's a lot going on underneath the reality and only sounds, images and motions can describe it entirely. Whoever experienced their teenagehood fully and crave to jump back right in what it feels like and to Remember the unique connection to life and its fire that you can have only at that age is welcome in this journey. The feeling of being immortal, the depth of the friendship, the arrogance of it. All of this is experienced on a boy point of view, but well balanced with the mistery of the female figure who disguises herself as an opponent, as a nemesis, in order to guide the protagonist towards his wholeness through mysticism, catharsis, love(when is so good that hurts uh!), death and all the facet of emotional depth to arrive at discovering himself complete, adult. This short, reckless story stages the archetype of the witch hunt, the eternal tension between male and female, a hymn to stolen innocence and the wild and ferocious thirst for freedom, all orchestrated towards an ending that asks for blood and blood will have.

    Accuracy of Book Profile

    Book profile reflects book accurately.

    Draw of Story

Dark environment and mysterious characters are nicely described by the author and make the story fairly enticing.

    Possible Drawbacks

The sequence of facts unfold too fast. Characters and facts are underdeveloped. There is not enough material to get involved with the story or characters, which seem at first interesting.

    Use of Special Effects

THE STORY RELIES A LITTLE BIT ON SPECIAL EFFECTS

    Primary Hook of Story

Characters are interesting, and even though protagonist is a teenager, is hinted to have more depth than usual.

    Fanbase Potential

It could have a large fanbase if adapted and if character's personalities traits are deepened.

    Awards Potential

It could have awards potential depending on how plot would unfold if the story is expanded.

    What’s New About the Story

The originality of the story arises from the stream of consciousness of the protagonist who, even though is a teenager and considers himself a careless creep, is a clever observant and is highly sensitive to people's feelings. His journey towards allowing himself to have feelings about women could be interesting if developed.

    Lead Characters

Alexander is a witty and observant teenager who has a strong connection with his friend Ian. Ian is a charming and cool young boy. Their friendship and connection could be better explored. Suzanne is a dark, mysterious and vulnerable character and could also make up for a very interesting one.

    Uniqueness of Story

In general, I highly recommend the story to be better developed as the plot is interesting and author has an interesting and captivating writing style.

    Analyst Recommendation

    WORK IN PROGRESS

    Justification

Because there is not enough material to understand who characters really are, their motivations, affections, fragilities and what is the depth of relations between them.

    Tips for Improvement

Characters should be better worked on, as well as the relation between them and unfolding of facts.

    Brief

Young boy and his friend go to England to spend some time away and have some fun, but the brutal assassination of two women he was coincidently close to end up changing his life forever.

    What We Liked

This is a dark story involving a careless teenage boy just seeking to have some fun outside his home country but who ends up getting involuntarily involved in two crimes as he grew close to two women murdered by the same man on Halloween night.

Film: It would be a good adaptation for film as the mood of the story changes fast as it goes from a careless and fun halloween night between teenagers to shocking crime scenes involving protagonist and two women he briefly was involved with.

TV: It would be a good adaptation for TV as characters are mysterious and nuanced, plot is interesting, shocking and surprising.

Key points: Interesting and unusual protagonist; surprising ties between characters; scary crime scene in an apparently fun night; mysterious environments; protagonist learns with his experience.

    Synopsis

Alexander is a teenager who decides to leave for a sabbatical in England with his charismatic friend Ian. In Willowstone, he is staying in Suzanne's big house. Suzanne is a mysterious and fragile woman who owned lots of cats and had a relationship with a man named Robert.

One day, Suzanne tells Alexander that Robert left, and asks him to go to church with her, which he surprisingly accepts due to her sadness. He then starts to develop a deeper connection with her, while he sees similarities between her and his mother.

As Alexander is having fun with his friend Ian in this new town, he begins to have feelings for a beautiful girl named Jade.

On Halloween night, which Ian was looking forward to, Alexander and his friends get drunk and have fun, while he gets closer to Jade and kiss her.

Suzanne tries to call Alexander, who doesn't answer. Jade also receives a call and walks away.

When he gets back to Suzanne's, he realizes she has been murdered by Robert. It is revealed that Jade was also assassinated at the same night - Jade was Suzanne's granddaughter and was having an affair with Robert, who confessed killing both.

When Alexander flies back to his hometown to recover from such traumatic events, he then feels for the first time inclined to allow a deeper connection with his mom.
