Short Summary
A widowed author is encouraged by her agent to do just one more story, but the author keeps refusing. The agent has an idea—an Amish themed story. The author relents only to go on the horse-drawn tour. They see the police gathered around the Amish Candy store they were meant to visit.
The detective on the case recognizes his favorite crime author and says he needs her view on things. Ettie Smith was the one who found the body. After following the clues, Ettie cleverly gathers the suspects together in one place where the identity of the killer is revealed.

Development Pitch
The characters are strong, funny, and you always expect the unexpected as these Amish octogenarians make their way from one murder mystery to the next. Ettie and her sister, Elsa-May, are widows, and live together in a small house with their little dog, Snowy. Ettie is the one with the brains and wit. Elsa-May is the bossy and sarcastic older sister. There are many sisterly interactions. When murders happen in the close-knit Amish community, no one will talk with the local detective. He turns to Ettie Smith for help. Just like Miss Marple, or Jessica Fletcher, Ettie pieces the clues together to find the killer. Ettie Smith always says she doesn’t go looking for trouble, trouble finds her.Â
