Development Pitch

The KGB sneak a biological weapon into the United States and hide out in a small, unsuspecting Philadelphia community. They slowly test the highly contagious Bacillus C-29 and observe the initial effects in this fast-paced adventure. Is Insomnia a first strike thriller loaded with Russian agents, espionage, and heart-pounding suspense? YES, but there’s so much more to this intriguing novel: two off duty detectives risk their lives and careers by taking on the Irish mob; in a perilous situation, a kidnapped nine-year-old girl and a Russian scientist, both autistic, find their ability to speak and form a common bond; a man with a speech disorder finally gets respect in a blue-collar town by standing up to fight a giant; and four high school baseball players, struggling for their first winning season, discover the pandemic plot through an Irish psychic. Insomnia is required reading for fans of high drama, compassionate friendships, and street justice, in a well-researched book. Heroes come in all shapes and sizes in this timely page-turner.
