Accuracy of Book Profile

It is accurate, but the author could include a development pitch, so readers would have a wider idea of the concept.

Draw of Story

What really stands out is the way the story is told. Everything happens like a play with images changing in the background. It's a style not too often seen in cinema.

Possible Drawbacks

The format draws attention, but the repetition of this format makes the story a bit boring. As everything seems to follow a pattern, we already know in advance how the story will be told from beginning to end.

Use of Special Effects

THE STORY DOES NOT RELY ON SPECIAL EFFECTS

Primary Hook of Story

The hook is the passage through American political history in a poetic and almost playful way.

Fanbase Potential

The blending of two mediums that are close in the narrative but not in format may reach a smaller audience.

Awards Potential

If theatrical use of narrative is made to improve the story and structure, I believe it might have some award potential.

Envisioned Budget

LOW BUDGET

What’s New About the Story

The use of scenographic objects commonly seen in a theater is somewhat original.

Lead Characters

We don't have an extensive character introduction. Each of them is presented very quickly. I believe that because they are public figures, this shorter introduction was chosen by the author.

Uniqueness of Story

It is certainly possible to find a different proposal here, with different formats and languages, but the narrative itself is not a rare gem.

Analyst Recommendation

WORK IN PROGRESS

Justification

It is a work in progress because it presents a different proposal for a cinematographic format with a very theatrical language. However, in terms of narrative, the story is quite flat and predictable. Even when telling a story based on true events, we have some tools to make the plot more engaging and more surprising. This narrative seems more like a report of what happened than an audiovisual narrative with a cinematographic structure.

Tips for Improvement

A change in structure would be essential for the work to reach a more cinematic audience. The use of theatrical language is exciting, and we see this use in musicals like Moulin Rouge, where acting and text closer to the theatrical are inserted in a structure of cinema. This works great. However, performing the entire plot, from start to finish, on a stage with images being displayed in the background can reduce the scope of the work and minimize audience interest. It is remarkable that the author thought of such an alternative and original way to tell his story, but the long sequence of horse riders ends up making the plot tedious. American political history is quite interesting and could gain more impact in a structure closer to the cinema's three-act, with varied scenarios. The narrative, following this theatrical structure, ends up losing strength. The phrases and rhymes are interesting, but as the dialogue follows the same pattern, the plot loses power and impact. We already know beforehand how the choir will work and rhyme and how each story will be introduced. A little more diversity in dialogue and storytelling could make this narrative more powerful. We already know these political characters as they are public figures, so a more profound introduction could make the whole script more complex. Also, the portrait we get from politicians is exactly what we got before from newspapers and books. It would be interesting to bring something new to their presentation, showing a little of these people's intimate, private side because the audience already knows their political ideas. Also, a less biased view could give more room for audience reflections. When you already inform what the audience needs to feel about such a character, you minimize their experience of meditation and perception.
