Short Summary

When the covert mission to open a bridge between Abbay’s world and our universe goes wrong her partner O is the first to pin the blame on Abbay forcing her to make a choice to either disentangle from O once and for all or do the seemingly impossible: return to the scene in the Overlap Section

With no access to her memory, Abbay must rely on her intuition as she attempts to weave space-time back together one thread at a time. One dropped string, and she risks accelerating the disentanglement, but if she is to succeed, she will have to destroy all that matters.

Development Pitch

In a universe where space-time arises from entanglement-the last thing you want to do is start pulling on loose strings. Abbay lives lives and lies in the multiverse and believes her life as a covert agent at the Interdimensional Observer Network is going well-as well as can be expected for a fifth-dimensional entity entangled with a psychopathic partner and a group of rogue operators. When her manipulative partner O accuses Abbay of destroying a section space-time, our implausible heroine is forced onto a collision course with disaster. When the mission to open a bridge between Abbay’s world and the universe as we know it goes wrong and the finger-pointing begins, Abbay either disentangle from O or do the seemingly impossible: return to the Overlap Section, Lake Bled Slovenia, where the unraveling began to repair the damage and clear her name. In the face of impossible odds, Abbay risks accelerating the disentanglement unraveling all that matters but if she is to succeed she will have to destroy her reality and come back a phoenix. WEE MATTER is an adult speculative fiction novel. Told in the transrealist mode from multiple POVs it explores the concept of how the stories we tell ourselves both guide us closer to the truth and keep us from it. The Sinner by Petra Hammesfahr meets Dark with a touch of Cloud Atlas; this book is for people who enjoyed the ideas in Dark Matter. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0aZ31ArGCL9qZXyYPa4N0Q?si=w7ux83PZRniMPwBAGDqEtg

About The Author

I click through Wikipedia until a plot emerges. I like ideas. In this story, I wanted to explore ideas around mattering. In which ways do we matter and is mattering a human concept only? Could we matter to entities in other dimensions and if so why and how? I have long been interested in the universe and the nature of our reality. More recently I have become slightly obsessed with quantum physics and the hunt for dark matter. This book is a marriage of those interests. I'm working on a sequel to Wee Matter that explores the ramifications of gene editing and another stand-alone book that investigates ideas of family betrayal, memory, identity, and vengeance.
