Short Summary
The protagonist, Bronwen Eld, explains, partially through poetry, that their father (Lucifer) and their mother (an angel) met and the child was sentenced to Earth. They describe struggling with self doubt but making the most of what they can do even with judgement surrounding them.
After Joseph Woodard's death and Justin's death, Bronwen prays to take Justin's place. Justin comes back and Bronwen stays alive. They learn more from one another and it eventually leads to a wedding with vows in the form of poetry.

Development Pitch
I think it would be a good adaptation because anyone can relate to the feelings about self doubt and the worry that someone might be waiting for you to make a mistake isn't very uncommon. Not only would the protagonist speak to those of the LGBT+ community, but they would also speak to religious people who might worry about the pressures about abiding by the bible and questioning what makes them a good person. Although there's a task to send someone to Hell, enough thought will show that judgement can function as the true antagonist. Also, since Bronwen and Justin are on opposite ends of the spectrum, it's easier to learn about trying new things and taking it easy from one another to add to their identities.
