Development Pitch

I love this story and it would work well as either a TV series or film. I can see the beautiful scenery featured showing how precious the land is to the Native Americans and why they fought so hard to save it. The story has a lot of heart and the characters have a lot of dimension, interactions with each other would enhance the storylines and make it first class. The scenes would be varied from ceremonial dances at Black Kettles village to Calvary life at Fort Laramie. I can visualise a scene before the battle of Sand Creek(which took place in Winter), the Cheyenne village would be surrounded by pure white snow with snowflakes falling looking like a winter wonderland, so pristine and after the battle a stark contrast would be shown showing the destruction of the village. The story has light and shade as well as real history. The special friendship/romance between Morning Dove and Captain Clinton McKay makes the story innovative and feel people will be drawn to them. I feel this story is different from anything out there in the market and will work really well in either a movie or TV series. It really does deserve its chance, you won't regret it.
