Development Pitch
Looking for something zombie-less, lacking super-heroes, without pretentious displays of wealth, or devoid of moody detectives, murder scenes, and serial killers? Looking for something for a mature audience searching for his/her realistic context? Looking for something about average people who drive traffic daily, but caught up in dramas that must be concealed? Forever My Teacher?? hooks with a five minute graphic humiliating scene resulting in the net effect of not being able to discern when something better comes along. Forty short chapters follow a woman through her last tumultuous year in high school, then college, then dropping out, falling back on a teaching job that becomes a career, marriage, kids, divorce, an unplanned fling with an older man who attends to her with midnight banter, lying to everyone to conceal her dalliance, her children discovering the truth, dependence on wine, and constant apprehension of where all of this will end up. And a courtroom appearance with God as the plaintiff. Emotional, funny, romantic locales, scenes with teenagers, mostly bantering dialogue, soccer fields, sailing, mature partying, weight concerns, realistic.
