Development Pitch
Jane is a contemporary version of the classic, gothic nineteenth-century romance novel by Charlotte Bronte. When eighteen-year old ward of the state Jane Eyre is transferred from a series of foster homes to an expensive boarding school in modern day London, she doesn't realize the emotional cost of a 'good' education. After standing up to the bullies, Jane becomes a model student and upon graduation, accepts a job at the mysterious country estate of Nate Rochester. It is there she finds a purpose tutoring the charming six-year-old, Sophie, and also where she discovers a love that harbours the darkest secret she has ever known.
