Development Pitch

Life in Harmony and Boone have changed the lives of Alec and Sady's family. A set of twin girls born dead to Sady's son, Eddie, and daughter-in-law, Billy Rose, is too heart-wrenching for the family to sustain. A stranger comes into their lives and offers them guidance in understanding that what has happened to them is not the end of the world. Alec is devastated to learn that he has polio. He is ready to give up on life totally until an old friend, Father Joe, from his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland visits and gives Alec a reason to live and gives Sady hope that her life is not over because of this set-back in her life. Willow Moone gives purpose to a Cherokee woman that lives on the Mountain of Lost Souls while trying prove that the stranger that came into their lives, Joshua Christos did not commit murder.

About The Author

I love writing about the hill people of the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. My stories are of the 1940's era and reflect upon the hardships and life that some of the families had to endure with diseases, racial inequality, not only black, but the American Indians, and the just plain poor folk They all had to endure the injustices that were cast amongst them.. I am seven-four years old and have been visiting the hollers and mountains of the Appalachians since I was fifteen, and I thank God my sister married a man from the Appalachians or I never would have met these wonderful people..
