Development Pitch
In popular culture, “Snax” is food that is inevitably consumed after getting stoned, and obviously a parody of the spelling of “snacks”. However, I promise that this is not another stoner story. Our main characters don’t smoke, don’t want to smoke, and don’t even know how to smoke. With edgy humor and the absurdity of living in a new big city, the fish-out-of-water newcomers seem to be magnets for trouble, finding themselves innocently thrown into random situations. They must figure out not only their new business but their new lives as well. In addition to selling bags of weed, the brothers take the food-craving idea to another level, also delivering Mexican sweet and savory treats with the pot: Snax, a veritable wine-and-cheese pairing for the streets. The snax don’t contain any THC but are simply an appetizer served with the marijuana purchase. Pioneers of this idea, they start to take over the city, selling one bag at a time, catching the attention of the local big dogs, putting them in stressful situations.
