    Brief

    Michelle Mason can’t remember that day, that drive, or that horrible crash that killed the young man in
    her car. All she knows is she’s being accused of murder and her daughter - the only one who might
    know what happened - is missing.

    What We Liked

    - A story about love and family, but also an intricate mystery drama, with clues;
    - Compelling character points of view;
    - Heart-wrenching and heartwarming in almost equal amounts;
    - Audiences will relate to the characters and their honest struggles;
    - Steamy sex scenes;
    - Suitable for limited series, as there are so many twists and turns that it would be difficult to
    fully encapsulate all of the plot in a few hours;
    - Unique moral questions posed.

    Synopsis

    Michelle has spent the last 18 months in a coma after a traumatic car crash. A mother of two in her
    30s, Michelle is excited to get back to see her husband, Drew, as well as her 16 year old son, Tyler, and
    her 18 year old daughter, Nikki. However, things don't feel right with her husband, and she soon
    discovers he was keeping something from her - Nikki is missing. And that’s not all - Michelle wasn't
    the only one in the car. A young man named Noah Butler died during the crash. Noah Butler wasn't
    just any teenager; he was a member of the now-popular band Roadhead. Michelle discovers that there
    are several lawsuits against her - Noah's father is suing Michelle for negligence and vehicular
    manslaughter, and the lawsuits he has filed against the car company for their responsibility have led
    to them suing Michelle as well. Michelle needs to try and get her memories together before the trial.
    Before the accident, she was a highly successful producer, but she soon learns that her best friend,
    Becca, and her old boss are making a documentary about Noah Butler's death. They apologize - they
    thought she was going to die, and wanted this to be a tribute to her - but Michelle is furious. She soon
    discovers that Drew spends most of his time in New York nowadays, and he leaves her for New York
    almost immediately. Tyler has started attending boarding school on the East Coast. It's difficult with
    her mother, Elyse there as well. Michelle sends Elyse home and is soon all alone. She learns that no
    missing persons report was ever filed and resolves to find her daughter herself.
    Michelle finds Noah's mother and discovers that Nikki and Noah were together - and getting serious.
    She gets a clue that Nikki might be in Florida, at an estate that her mother, Elyse, often stays in. She
    tries to get her husband to go with her, but he refuses, so she takes Tyler instead. Michelle is unable
    to find Nikki. Instead, she finds divorce papers served to her by her husband. She goes to New York to
    confront him and sees that he is sleeping with her old hairstylist, Sasha.
    The trial soon occurs and things seem to go poorly for Michelle until Noah's mother takes the stand
    and places the blame on the car and the weather. During the trial, Michelle remembers what
    happened--Noah refused to put on his seatbelt, and even worse, opened the door to jump out of the
    car. Michelle is cleared through the trial and Elyse reveals that she's been harboring Nikki and takes
    her to see her. Nikki introduces Michelle to her young daughter, Noah's, and the family embraces.
