Development Pitch

This is a murder mystery of biblical proportions. Many people read the Bible and get a lot from it. Others read the Bible and think, "These people are crazy! These things could never happen today!" Well, this book asks the age-old question: What if people from the Bible lived in New Jersey? The story threads some popular biblical characters and stories from The Garden of Eden to Revelation and even includes some "Paradise Lost" and all the while there's a mysterious character named Lucy Ford who plays an unseen part in the whole story. It also speaks of rebirth and redemption as a "simple" man is brought back to life with a clarity and a brilliance no one else has.

Accuracy of Book Profile

Yes, the profile does depict the book correctly.

Draw of Story

The fast pace kept me interested.

Possible Drawbacks

It all seemed a bit cliche'. The dialogue, the villains, and the plot uses worn out conspiracy tropes like "big pharma bad" or "congress evil". However, there is a built in audience for conspiracy mongering so this might push the right buttons to attract that kind of audience.

Use of Special Effects

THE STORY RELIES A LITTLE BIT ON SPECIAL EFFECTS

Primary Hook of Story

Can a gunshot victim with mental superpowers take on the US government and Big Pharma to save America?

Fanbase Potential

The "Alex Jones" style conspiracy plot could attract the Q'Anon and "Deep State" crowd. As we can see in today's political climate, there is an audience for this

Awards Potential

No. Not that kind of film

What’s New About the Story

There isn't really all that much that's unique other than the bible names used by the crime family. It could use less obvious villains.

Lead Characters

His persistence makes the main character stand out.

Uniqueness of Story

This is not a rare gem. It needs to feel less familiar and more unique.

Analyst Recommendation

CONSIDER

Justification

This story isn't anything new but if done right the basic action and plot points could make for an entertaining screenplay.
