Short Summary

A 90 year old man in a nursing home reluctantly recounts his life to a young Catholic priest. His tale is about a WWII Army Ranger who returns home after the war and unknowingly is thrust into becoming an avenging force against evil doers.

The journey the two men take together in the short time John has remaining profoundly alters the path of both of their lives forever. As their friendship grows, what they discover about each other as well as themselves, will lead both men into a reckoning that neither would have ever believed.
