Development Pitch

This is a story of Faith โ€“ written for both Christians and non-Christians โ€“ intended to convey a message, and shed light on a very real battle between good and evil in this world. I wanted to write a book that showcased that in a very real and visceral way. Our eyes perceived the absence of light as darkness โ€“ we can only understand one as it contrasts with the other. I believe the same is true of good and evil in this story: to understand the true beauty and grace of the Angels, we must see it reflected against the face of evil, raw and unfiltered. It is through this lens that we can better understand the glory of prayer and the power of GOD. In terms of marketability, I think this story arrives at a time in our culture when the Faith is called into question and scrutinized more than ever in this country. As a result, people of faith are hungrier than ever for content that speaks to who they are and what they believe โ€“ and I aim to deliver that in a fresh way that's unlike the cookie-cutter Christian programming we grew up with. This story is raw โ€“ even ugly at times, but that is the truth of the world we live in, and I decided that for the readers to truly experience the fear of evil, both seen and unseen, it had to feel real, not sugarcoated. This is not your mother's story of Christian empowerment. This is a new twist, a new hero for a new generation.
