ACTION ADVENTURE FANTASY FOLKTALE SCI-FI YOUNG ADULT
J.K. Pascall , Aaron E. Davis
The story is about a boy who is hunted and caught up in conflict that changes the lives of all involved. Growth and learning is forced in this fantastic coming of age story. Courageous gestures and seldom enough when systems hang in the balance. An original tale of entanglement.
We created an energy based world and link it to the physical world that we know. Creating characters that were very different, yet connected in ways that were not natural but necessary. We then set out to solve problems that were personal at first but end up being exponentially applicable to all.
The end of the story is in transition, being the first book of a series, in hangs in the balance. Growth in characters and plot is evident and action heightens to satisfy the need to entertain. The heros/villians persist while the reader has a fuller grasp of the complexity of the undertaking.

This is an original work that embraces action and adventure to highlight how we take knowledge and history for granted. Both can be currency in a different setting where knowledge is denied to the masses. These characters are all portrayed to be growing as they live out the best versions of themselves. Physics and the physical limitations of men are juxtaposed to this vibrant concept of living and thriving energetically. An emotional journey through the near personification of 'Love' to highlight what we lack and why it is so difficult to keep it in our presence. Transformative circumstances to bring seemingly waring species to the realization of common bonds. Even the inanimate world gets to weigh in on the judgement of good and evil. Evolution's Edge makes the bold statement that everything in the physical world and beyond is in a state of change and arguably, going through it own 'Evolutionary' process.

Accuracy of Book Profile
No, this book profile does not reflect the book. This book is about a young boy who finds himself in the company of other ancient beings from another dimension. They killed his parents because they were afraid of his power. The book profile only touches on less than one percent of the story.
Draw of Story
The story begins in a unique setting and explores a mythical realm. There are ancient characters that are governed by different rules of nature. The human characters that are introduced are from Trinidad which opens a new world of mythology to the audience. It is not common to find a Sci-fi/fantasy drama with people of color characters.
The book needs a better sense of direction. It is trying to build up the world it's presenting but the storyline suffers. Kevaughn is presented as the center of the plot but then fades away to Cheveyo's storyline. It splits the story because its does not intertwine seamlessly.
Use of Special Effects
THE STORY RELIES HEAVILY ON SPECIAL EFFECTS
Primary Hook of Story
The hook is that god-like beings try to kill a newborn baby, but he defeats one. Cheveyo, ancient and powerful, ends up sharing a body with his enemy.
This could have a large fanbase if adapted well. The story needs to be streamlined and simplified. It is hard to comprehend at times. The story does have great mythological elements that are different than what has been seen before. There is more time spent with these beings, in their world that would visually translate well.
This could have awards potential visually. The world building aspect would allow a great amount of creativity.

What’s New About the Story
The story is unique because it explores alternate realms and ancient beings that are not based on Roman, Greek or Norse mythology. The story is also set in corresponding locations such as Trinidad and Tibet. It is refreshing to see deities and magic based off of other world mythologies.
The lead characters do not stand out in personality. Kevaughn is a young man who grew up as an orphan. He inherited his father's powers of seeing and sensing energies. He is a normal person thrown into extraordinary situations. Cheveyo is over 250,000 Earth years old but is a flawed character who learns about life during his time on Earth.
Uniqueness of Story
This a gem but has room for improvement. There are few stories like it and definitely few, if any, films similar to it. This story explores new areas of the world and the mythologies that are unique to the cultures in the West Indies. It branches away from the usual and delves into uncharted territory.
Film - Indie, Film - Streaming, Film - Studio, TV Series - Streaming
This is a recommend because the story is very different than films or tv out at the moment. There is also a call for more diverse characters and diverse stories which this delivers. It needs some reworking but presents original ideas that would translate well on screen.
