Short Summary

Retired CIA Agent Tim Hall spends his days at his favorite bar The Blue Goose. He is attracted to the owner/bartender Mary Ann and finds the courage to ask her for a date. Over dinner he tell Mary Ann about undergoing experimental stem cell treatments to cure his amnesia. She encourages him.

Tim discovers that he has been used all along by his ex-wife Pam. She is about to kill Tim but is accidentally stuck and killed by an oncoming vehicle. Tim discovers that bartender Mary Ann is an undercover FBI agent. They become lovers at the end of the story.

Development Pitch

This is a story where nothing appears as it seems. A retired CIA Officer named Tim Hall travels overseas for experimental stem cell treatments in order to restore his memory but he soon finds out that there are others whom need information locked in Tim's mind.

About The Author

Jeffrey Mechling was born in Alexandria Virginia to a family full of secrets. His maternal grandfather was thought to be an original member of the OSS [The Office of Strategic Services]. Other members of the Mechling and Emerson families, as well as family friends, lived within the shadowy world of espionage and would only revealed that they "worked for the government". Mr. Mechling himself has worked as a Financial Economist and Operations Research Analyst with a not too secret government agency. Jeff has written two novels - The Adults in the Room and The Safe House. Both feature super spy couple Tim Hall and Mary Ann Wilson. He is currently writing a third Tim Hall and Mary Ann Wilson adventure.
