Development Pitch

The quiet life of Father Victor Vasquez is stripped away when the passive catholic priest is forced to face the brutal death of his adopted daughter at the hands of a violent cartel enforcer. Following the loss of his daughter Fr. Victor loses his grip on reality and retreats into the darkest shadows of his now unstable mind. Torn between his faith and his call for retribution he picks up the weapons of his enemies and launches his own war against the cartel. With visions of his deceased daughter still moving through his mind, and now seeing himself as God’s new avenging angel, he pursues the cartel enforcer across the South-Western U.S. With the help of some unwitting new friends, Father Vic pursues the killer while a U.S. government law enforcement agency tracks the insane priest from a distance. The agency decides to use the priest as an asset to fight the cartel. They partner the priest with a young government agent who is secretly assigned to kill Vasquez as soon as the priest completes his mission. In a bloody showdown with the cartel, Father Vic finally faces the man who killed his daughter. The mad priest kills the enforcer in a violent gun fight but following the fight the young government agent discovers that Victor knew about his assassination orders the entire time. The agent decides to go against his orders and let the priest live. Father Victor walks away from the fight with his new found friends and the full support of the U.S. law enforcement agency.
