Accuracy of Book Profile

The book profile accurately reflects the book.

Draw of Story

The premise of the story is compelling, so upon opening on the protagonist I was drawn into the story and eager to see how it would play out.

Possible Drawbacks

The brevity and generalizations in some of the descriptions are "off-putting" in the story. The very short chapters gave the story an odd pace which makes the reader question if the story was really fleshed out as much as it needs to be.

Use of Special Effects

THE STORY RELIES A LITTLE BIT ON SPECIAL EFFECTS

Primary Hook of Story

The author provides a theoretical glimpse into what could have been the birth of modern day religion/civilization. This is interesting due to the impact of religion on human civilization that is still relevant today. The vast majority of the world is religious and wars are still fought over competing ideologies, so this story is interesting as an exercise in understanding how our ancestors conceived and developed a functioning society through religion.

Fanbase Potential

If adapted, I can see this story having a large fanbase mainly due to the intriguing premise and the grand themes of war, religion, and the responsibility that comes with power. This story has characters that have potential to develop into compelling vehicles to explore the premise and the themes.

Awards Potential

I can see the adaptation of this story garnering awards/acclaim due to the aforementioned exploration of strong themes and the potentially compelling development of its characters. There can be strong and relevant comparisons we draw from the characters to modern day political and religious leaders of the world.

Envisioned Budget

MEDIUM BUDGET

Similar Films/TV Series

MOVIES AND TELEVISION SHOWS SUCH AS "10, 000 B.C.", "APOCALYPTO", "NOAH", AND "THE WALKING DEAD". THE FILMS LISTED SHARE COMMON THEMES, SETTING, AND TONE WITH THIS STORY AND THE TV SHOW HAS A SIMILAR PROTAGONIST WITH THE TASK OF FORGING THE WAY TO A NEW WAY OF LIFE FOR HIS PEOPLE.

Whatโ€™s New About the Story

This story has a unique premise and protagonist. It is not often we see a "snake oil salesman" type character as the protagonist of the story, especially in the prehistoric setting this story takes place in. The only thing that would help make the story stand out more is fleshing out the other characters and the setting a bit more. Some of the set pieces and characters feel generic like the "invader painted tribe" and the other villages in general.

Lead Characters

The protagonist (and his son) stand out as crafty and ingenious people who take advantage of their knowledge to rise above their "preordained" stations in life. Their actions and decisions inspires discussions of ethics, religion, and the handling power.

Uniqueness of Story

The premise has the potential to be a rare gem with the refinement of the plot and characters. There are glimpses of a compelling story but the brevity works to the story's disadvantage. Time should be spent further exploring character motivations and putting more detail in the plot.

Analyst Recommendation

CONSIDER

Justification

I feel this story should be considered on the merit of its compelling premise and interesting protagonist to carry the story. With adapting this story, care must be taken to flesh out the characters and plot more as this story has a "rushed" feeling to it. There is franchise potential with this story, especially in the arena of television, provided the adaptation can find ways to expand on the plot and characters.
