Knitting in the City Series: Seven friends in Chicago meet weekly to knit, discuss scientific advances and current events, and swap stories of their dating-debacles. The first book in the series follows Janie's life after loosing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day.

Short Summary

Janie has lost her job, fiancé, and apartment in one day. To top off the day’s humiliation, she’s escorted off the job site by sexy security guard, Quinn Sullivan, who gets a little sample of Janie’s brand of book-smart, awkward ramblings.

At Tuesday knit night, Quinn bursts in moments before the Boston thugs come in to take Janie to pay for what Jem has done. Knitting needles double as weapons and the women save the day.
