Development Pitch

Daniel needed to break free from a family of over achievers. In coming out he felt the party would last forever. He was often mistaking lovers for love, and only when he felt he had gotten it right a virus came along to reshape his world. The loses mounted as did his need to run away. His move to Hollywood was an exciting new beginning but eventually began to play itself out. His move back to Texas forced him to confront his emotions as the losses began. Friends were lost, followed by lovers, family members, and colleagues. The people and places, Hurricane Katrina, loving and losing Daniel lived his life in two distinct parts, the bars, clubs, and discos before the virus, the loses the funerals, and the survivors guilt in the aftermath. He found in himself an older but wiser, less judgmental, more compassionate and understanding soul. He became someone who survived, but someone who felt lucky in having done so. In the end, life is precious, but the result is always the same, the only things that really matter are the ones you have loved along the way...
