    Development Pitch

My story of the future is based on the bad things that are happening in today's world 2020. As you get into the book you will see that greed has destroyed the world, all the gold has been taken off this planet and caused the planet to die. I see this book being a movie very easily, because the people of the world are seeing the greed in the world and would like it to change very soon, the people will see how greed will destroy the people and the planet, also I wright how love also can save the world, love will never die in the human race. this book can help the world, it will get into the young peoples minds and stick to there memories and they will help change the world to become a better place. I believe if this book becomes a movie it will be a block buster, then I will produce more books about this subject. This vision of the future can help the world, if made into a movie it will not only make a lot of $$$$, it will also help save the world from disaster. This book is full of love and the effects of greed, we all should be writing books to help love grow and to stop all the greed in the world.

    Accuracy of Book Profile

For the most part the book profile accurately reflects the book it represents. The page could do with a thorough proofing pass to make it read more cleanly. The target audience would likely be male-leaning, as well.

    Draw of Story

The story starts very rapidly, with Eon having his first otherworldly experiencing pretty early on. This immediately draws in the reader, making them want to know more. There’s already a hint that Eon will be shown what are essentially the secrets to the universe, and any audience would want to continue following his story with that leading them along.

    Possible Drawbacks

The intense focus on sex and procreation can be off-putting. The protagonist was partially brought into the future merely to have sex with a number of women, who all happen to rapidly fall in love with him. This often feels like wish fulfillment of the protagonist, and it reduces the female characters to mere cliches. Keeping the focus on platonic or familial love would be much more powerful. Instead there are dueling concepts of what’s right and wrong where it comes to promiscuity, as it only seems to be okay for the main character to have sex with a huge swath of people while he condemns women for doing the same. Familial and/or platonic love is a more universal form of the emotion, and it wouldn’t get clouded with the erotica, which doesn’t feel organic to the story.

    Use of Special Effects

THE STORY RELIES HEAVILY ON SPECIAL EFFECTS

    Primary Hook of Story

Being able to see future humans on other planets is a great draw, even if they’re suffering. It’s fascinating to see how humans have evolved, and what their societies have eroded into. Though the book does not always describe the visuals very handily, it’s easy to imagine that they would be grand. The ability to present the beauty of space in new and exciting ways is a great hook for a film.

    Fanbase Potential

Science fiction epics can often garner a large fanbase, and if the characters are better developed an audience would flock to the project. Sci-fi audiences love having characters to connect with, and even cosplay at conventions, so the more that can be done to play into that, the better.

    Awards Potential

Due to both the sci-fi genre as well as the conservative moral leanings in the project, it’s unlikely it would have wider awards potential.

    What’s New About the Story

The story is incredibly original, that’s never in question. Eon’s often erotic journey throughout time and space is different from anything that’s ever been adapted. If anything the story is too unique, as it’s easy to get lost in all the new worlds, peoples, and concepts. Grounding the story in something a bit more familiar would be helpful, or even just grounding it in realistic characterizations.

    Lead Characters

Eon and Quinn are literally stated to be perfect, and this bears out within the story. Neither of them can do much wrong, which means their arcs are flat. Meanwhile the female characters often fade into the background and feel nonessential. They all seem to be present merely to have sex with the protagonist and propagate his genetic line. Reducing female characters to nothing but child-bearing vehicles is disheartening. It feels dated and out of step with the modern world, much less a future one.

    Uniqueness of Story

It is a rare gem, but possibly not for the right reasons. The book is unique and very different from everything else, but that’s somewhat to its detriment. Simplifying the story so there’s a more direct through line would go a long way in making this more approachable for an audience.

    Analyst Recommendation

    WORK IN PROGRESS

    Justification

There are a lot of really big ideas here, and they need to be edited down. The story is often confusing, and at times it’s even contradictory enough that it’s nearly impossible to follow. There isn’t one central storyline with which to follow the characters through. What’s more the character work isn’t there to support something this grand.

    Tips for Improvement

The characters need to be stronger and less perfect. Eon and Quinn are both flat, as they do not grow or change throughout. They defeat a great evil, but they have no personal arcs. The female characters, both major and minor, and the way they’re treated often reads as sexist, including the suggestion that birth control will be part of the downfall of society. The story heavily suggests that procreation is the only purpose to life, which could be controversial. The implication that ancient peoples couldn’t have built grand structures like the Giza Necropolis is a highly contested racist theory. The book feels almost alarmist as well as dated, given the pushback that’s been seen against both processed foods and the pharmaceutical industry in the past decade. The more conservative moral leanings that are present narrow the audience, which is troubling for what would be an expensive adaptation. For all that we’re experiencing interesting places in time and space, the writing isn’t atmospheric or particularly visual. It’s difficult to be invested in the story due to how confusing it is. Simplifying the story and strengthening the characters will help to get its point of view across much more strongly. The audience must be able to connect with the characters so that we’re fully invested in their goals.

    What We Liked

"This author has a powerful message that he needs to share with the world, and his passion for that message comes through crystal clear on the page. With a conviction rarely seen, the story seeks to impart a moral lesson throughout the protagonist’s beautiful yet tumultuous journey. The focus is on instilling love as the ultimate power of the universe, something that can be met with understanding worldwide regardless of previously held beliefs or national borders.

In the spirit of other epic science fiction films, this is made for the big screen. The visuals would be colorful and stunning, and there are so many fascinating worlds that can be brought to life. Aliens and future humans alike would be rendered as real creatures that Eon interacts with, inspiring the imagination of those watching in the theater. Such a visually impressive feast for the eyes is a great vehicle for the author to impart his important message. The scope of this story is wide and varied, and the sheer amount of locations and the size of the ensemble cast make it ideal for a TV adaptation as well. It’s easy to see this story stretching multiple episodes, if not seasons. Eon could continue his journey across the stars, fixing humanity’s wrongs to save them from destruction. He could even pass the baton onto Quinn in future seasons. There is no shortage of possible planets or storylines.

Key points: Powerful message; Array of fascinating locations; Female supporting characters in leadership positions; Surprising twists and turns; Author has passion for the subject"

    Synopsis

EON STAR wakes up with the urge to go into the wilderness and photograph an eagle nest. His wife EVA is upset to see him go, though she doesn’t say why. Eon promises his grandson QUINN that he’ll be back soon. While in nature, he’s transported to the future where he meets DEJA. The people on Deja’s planet have become impotent, and she needs a functioning human male to breed with. She came to Mars, where the humans now reside, but they don’t have genitals. Eon finds himself on Mars next. He learns the downfall of humanity began in 2020. Thanks to pollution, food with harmful chemicals, and pharmaceutical drugs, humans have lost their ability to naturally reproduce. Eon attempts to teach the people on Mars about love, with Deja’s eager help as she wants to carry his seed and brought him here for exactly that reason. Eon is returned to his time, but he finds that his wife, Eva, is missing. She tells him telepathically that she is actually an alien, and that he must save humanity in the name of love. He’s transported to a city referred to as “hell” that is run by DOGOD. Everyone is either enslaved to him or otherwise completely loyal. Eon thinks he’s Satan, and Dogod can change from female to male at will. Eon realizes he has to save the children from Dogod. He’s aided by a MUTE MAN, who he doesn’t realize is actually Quinn, who is also now traveling through space and time. This grown up Quinn has had a relationship with Dogod while he’s a woman. He can’t take the fact that Dogod is hurting children, though, so he helps to save them.

Eon wakes on the moon and meets many famous men from history, and two women: EVE, the first woman, and Christ’s mother MARY. They are an advanced race of intelligent beings, the OMAN. Eon saving the earth was prophesied. The Oman also have Eon’s seed so that they may start a new human race. Eon is taken to what he thinks is Earth again, where he meets LOVONA, and she tells him humans no longer have emotions. Eon ventures on and meets ANNORA, who is Lovona’s sister. She’s a genetic mistake because she’s a giantess, and though she gets randomly pregnant every few months and has up to 50 children, they’re all little people who also can’t reproduce. Eon stays with her awhile and learns she’s getting pregnant because she’s being unknowingly raped by a MALE GIANT. He realizes this giant is actually Quinn, his grandson. Quinn and Annora can’t really remember anything besides that they love each other. Annora tells Eon that the Oman have been experimenting with humans. They gave them chemicals, alcohol, sugar, and caffeine, slowly poisoning them by controlling the medical and pharmaceutical companies. The war that Quinn fought and died in in another life was actually between the humans and the Oman. Deja comes to Eon to tell him he has to defeat Dogod to save humanity. Quinn must go back to protecting the children they already saved. Eon joins forces with Lovona, as they’re in love. Eon and Quinn learn they’re not on Earth, but rather on Eden, Earth’s twin planet that’s hidden on the other side of the sun. Eon and Quinn must defeat Dogod. Love faded for these future humans, too, and Eon has to teach them again. Both Lovona and Annora begin to show emotions, which is new.

Dogod still loves Quinn, but Quinn couldn’t take the fact that he was hurting children. Quinn tries to persuade him to be good. Deja shows Eon that human beings were an experiment millions of years ago. Dogod destroyed that experiment by introducing greed, and Eon realizes if humans simply loved each other everything would be fine. Affected by Quinn’s enduring love, Dogod recesses in age, becoming a baby girl. Quinn will stay in the future and raise the child, while Eon will go back to his time and Earth. Eon loves Eva, Deja, and Lovona, and they’re able to condense into Eva for him. Eon and Quinn’s children are now spread throughout time and space.
