Development Pitch

"Land of the Bigfoot" is a story about two development companies, one from the United States and one from Canada that decide to embark on an ambitious project to clear the Saskatchewan forest in Canada of trees to create a new province or provinces, but their exploratory team encounters a city and army of Bigfoot deep in the interior of the forest. Doctor Terry Blake will appeal to women of all ages. Atahsaia, the Bigfoot leader sees the presence of the American and Canadian soldiers as an invasion, and makes parallel comparisons and references to how land was taken from Indians and fears the same will happen to the Bigfoot. "Land of the Bigfoot" contains dark narratives and themes that will attract and appeal to males, while the masculinity and magnetism of the male commanders, namely Commander Brent Lee, commander of the American contingent who will appeal to a female audience. The story is set deep in the interior of the Saskatchewan forest, known for tales of the Legendary Bigfoot. I chose Commander Jason Blanchet who commands the Canadian contingent of soldiers not only for his knowledge and skill and universal appeal, but also for his deep knowledge of Bigfoot. "Land of the Bigfoot" will be similar to "300' and "Fury" with regard to how few stood against many. Because of the stories' universal appeal to audiences 18 years of age and up, I see "Land of the Bigfoot" released in cinemas and made available on television and through other media sources.
