    Accuracy of Book Profile

The book profile accurately reflects the book.

    Draw of Story

The secret ships with lifesaving technology is an interesting premise.

    Possible Drawbacks

The quick presentation of the story with lack of details made it less compelling. It would help if the story were to really be "told" with lots of rich details.

    Use of Special Effects

THE STORY RELIES A LITTLE BIT ON SPECIAL EFFECTS

    Primary Hook of Story

The post apocalyptic nature of the story makes it fit in with many others in the popular genre.

    Fanbase Potential

The characters and story aren't really detailed enough to build empathy with an audience so it is unlikely to garner a large fanbase.

    Awards Potential

It is just a cursory dive into a story, so Awards potential is probably slim.

    Envisioned Budget

    LARGE BUDGET

    What’s New About the Story

The ships are a unique feature of the story. Adding detail about the technology and the lifesaving ability of the ships would a great way to accent the originality of the project.

    Lead Characters

The main characters are not developed enough to really make them stand out.

    Uniqueness of Story

This reads more like an outline of the story. Developing the story with details would be a great improvement.

    Possible Formats

Film - Studio, TV Series - Network

    Analyst Recommendation

    WORK IN PROGRESS

    Justification

This is a shell of a story that needs to have the meat added to it.

    Tips for Improvement

The story needs to be told in detail and the two dimensional characters need to be developed.

    Brief

With the world on the brink of running out of food and water one man’s special ships are sent to the save the world.

    What We Liked

The subject matter is relevant and the survival theme is a powerful one.

Film: A feature adaptation would require deep development of the story details and characterization.

TV: A series could be built upon the ships as they venture out to save various parts of the world.

Key points: Adventure; Positive ending; Cautionary tale; Potential for call to action; Franchise potential

    Synopsis

In the year 2050, the world’s population has grown exponentially and there are devastating shortages of food and water. The population faces extinction without a forthcoming solution.

Charles and Kathleen Hammer live in Australia which is one of the hardest hit places on Earth. They are billionaires who own a shipyard. Charles and his ship builders are working tirelessly on special Monarch ships that have secret technology that have the potential to solve the world’s water problem.

Kathleen is beautiful and often elicits “Wolf Whistles” from the ship builders. This is unsettling to her and when she shares her concerns with Charles, unbeknownst to her, he fires each offender. When the local union hears of the firings, Charles receives a visit from John, the union representative. This alerts Kathleen to the firings and she has Charles hire everyone back to keep up production on the ships.

As more ships are finished and deployed, the media becomes interested. The ships filter rain water so it is safe to drink and the technology will now be able to provide enough save water to save the world.

The Hammers have to fight legal cases brought about by the Australian Water Boards, but soon everything settles down their ships are allowed to continue to stop the water crisis. Collecting rain water that didn’t fall into the oceans also helps to recede encroaching coastlines worldwide, making their invention even more lifesaving.

Charles and Kathleen are awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and the Prime Minister presents a large statue of a Monarch ship in commemoration. A New Year’s celebration over Sydney Harbor celebrates the lifesaving butterfly ships.
