Development Pitch

In the style of Dan Brown’s Angels and Demons, DP Conway brings an emotionally charged page-turning account of what happened at Stoneman Douglas HS in Parkland, Florida. The book contains a chilling expose of the life of Nikolas Cruz, a youth troubled since his earliest childhood. But that is only part of the story. The depths of cowardice by the bureaucracy is revealed and woven into a shocking and compelling drama that will leave you feeling aghast. Cruz should have been stopped, and yet countless officials who had the chance failed to act. At the climax of the story, during the 11 minutes of the shooting, you will find yourself in the halls, witnessing not only the tragedy, but also the heroic actions of many, and sadly, the cowardly actions of numerous deputies, and school personnel, and afterward, you will arrive at an ending you will never forget.
